Okay, so here is my first official mix here at the Recording Workshop. We have been doing a lot of mixing in the Computer Lab and I have been dabbling with mixes in my house, but this is the first of five legit mixes that we are required to do in the studio. Two of the mixes will be critiqued and will count towards our final grade.

The entire class has been split into four groups, and of those groups we have been split even further into pairs of two. This song was actually co-mixed by myself and my sub-group partner, Robi Rütenberg. We had three hours of studio time dedicated to creating this mix. I am pretty happy with it. Tomorrow we will start to learn about Mastering and we will start working on a Sound-For-Picture project. I am definitely looking forward to that.
