Good times! Polen Band has been hard at work in the studio for the past couple of months working on a new album called “There Is Nothing New Under The Sun (Volume One)”.

I am excited about how the album is turning out. For the past couple of weeks I have been holed up in the studio cranking out the mixes, but there has been one final piece of the recording that I have been looking forward to for a LONG time!

I have long had the dream (or hope, or desire, or whatever…) to fill my music room with worshipers and capture the voices of worship to sprinkle into Polen Band songs.

Last night it happened! It was magical, and I can’t wait for the final product!

To capture the vocals, I used a Rode NT-4 XY stereo microphone plugged in to the Chandler TG-2 preamp. The channels were summed together. We had more than a dozen worshipers pouring their hearts into the microphone. It was awesome.
